Milo the Monster

As missionaries, we are here to help. So people naturally turn to us for.......everything! On one rainy Friday night, some students - now knowing what to do - again turned to us for help. They had happened upon two tiny kittens that were barely a few days old, scared and abandoned in some dark alley. They knew that "the missionaries" would help. They came straight to our apartment and pleaded with us to take the kittens. Being stuck between knowing we should help and the cuteness of the kittens, we agreed to take them. It wasn't very long until we were questioning our decisions. They were cute alright! But a tonne of troubles to go along with all that cuteness........they weren't house broken, we didn't know what to feed them, they meowed through the night and started clawing things as soon as their eyes were opened. Did I mention they were cute??? We found ourselves bouncing between love and resent for the little creatures. We were able to find a home for Kah, the white one. But we still, had Milo on our hands.......and she was a handful!! But we couldn't help loving her......when she wasn't biting some part of our bodies! We knew were couldn't keep her, but didn't want to get rid of her. Finally we convinced one of our unsuspecting friends to take the little monster! It was a wonderful arrangement because we didn't have to deal with her, but we could see her whenever we wanted.........Sad to say, it didn't last very long. Bev found out Milo's true nature and also got rid of her. But we are glad that we had the brief encounter with such an adorable creature, even though she was often very bad, she brought many hours of joy and laughter into our little apartment!
