February 10 – Some times you need to rest on Sabbath, and sometimes you need to get out and enjoy God's nature. This Sabbath we got out there looking for an adventure. And of course, where ever there are a few missionaries there's an adventure not far away! This time, we opted for something new, so we headed out to Nafti Point – a place we'd only heard of but had never been to. The road to Nafti soon turned off onto a small, overgrown, dirt path. Bev and I bounced around in the back of the truck as we dodged swinging branches on the way by. Finally we came to a dead end. We jumped out of the truck and searched for a trail. There was only faint traces of one, so we decided to try it. It lead out into a clearing on the edge of the cliffs. We had been told that sometimes dolphins can be seen from the Point, so we looked and clicked rocks together trying to call them. We explored in either direction, taking pictures, scanning the horizon and anticipating another breath-taking sunset. We decided to head back to the truck before it got too dark to find the trial. On our way out we decided to take another path that lead in the opposite direction. It also opened up into a clearing where we found remnants of the war. There were some old, un-exploded gun shells and a bunker with a huge cannon-like gun protruding out the front of it. It was cool to climb up it and feel like we were apart of history.

Later that night, Grant, Bev, and I, went out in search of yet another adventure. The night was still young and we intended to enjoy it! Food was on our mind and so we headed to a little pizza place that was known for it's great Boston-style pizza. It was a small little pizza place so there wasn't place to sit down and eat it. So we bought our pizza and headed back out side to eat it in the back of the truck! After that, we decided the night couldn't just end with pizza, so we headed over to the local dough nut shop for our favorite dough nuts....which we also ate from the back of the truck. After finishing the last crumbs and licking our fingers, we tried to figure out what to do next. Since we don't go out and drink and party like most other people our age, there wasn't much for us to do, so we just sat in the back of the truck, told stories, jokes and random facts about each other. It was great! I love the people I get to share this island with!
