The Mizonette Karether
This post has been a long time coming. Actually, since September, shortly after I moved into a little house in southeast Vancouver with some other women from my church. It took awhile for us to get settled in, due to our busy schedules - Lizzy was starting her new semester at UBC, Chansonette is a PhD student and working full time, and the new school year was just getting underway for me. Downstairs, the mother-daughter duo were also settling in; Karina was just getting back into school after taking some time off, and Heather works as a counsellor for Salvation Army at a support-recovery house.
After mulling over some possible - and not so possible - options to name our house, we came up with "Mizonette Karether" - a combination of all our names.

Our friendship actually started a while before we decided to move in together. I met Lizzy at church when I first moved to Vancouver. A few months later, Chans started coming to church with Lizzy; they had known each other for several years when Chans was a trip sponsor at Lizzy's high school. After going to church together week after week, we ended up planning a camping trip along with some other friends. It turned out to be quite the adventurous weekend and we definitely got to know each other better!
Since that initial adventure, we've made many more memories together..... hiking, baking, laughing, cooking, playing tag in the house, more laughing, procrastinating, eating, Bible studies, good conversations, and did I mention? a lot of laughing!!
A few photos of our good times together.....
Roasted veggies for...... can't remember.
