Faith Like Canuck Fans

During the Canucks' winning streak in the first 2 games against Boston, it was estimated that about 70,000 fans turned out downtown to cheer on their team in the FanZone. But as they lost game 3 and then game 4, the number of fans dwindled in the FanZone. Everywhere I went, I would hear negative sentiments and doubts about how the Canucks would fare in game 5. Two losses and immediately people were loosing faith. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

The Canucks have fought hard this season, even winning the 2011 President's Trophy for being the highest scoring team. They've worked hard to get where they are. They deserve it. But game 3 & 4 found them in Boston, loosing badly, with fans dropping like flies.
When things aren't going the way we want them to, or the way we think they should, Christians often end up acting like Canuck fans. When things are going great, everybody's in the FanZone. But when the going gets a little tough, the fans get a little fickle. But for us, we've got every right to the Cup and we will win it if we don't allow discouragement to creep in.
