What's In Ohio?

When I told people I was headed to Ohio for the weekend, I typically received a puzzled look and was asked, "Why?  What's in Ohio?"  Ohio may not be a prime vacation destination, but there is a huge draw for me - my good friends, the Maycocks.

It had been a few years since I had last seen them.  Their youngest had recently been born, their oldest had grown so much, and there was just lots of catching up to do in general.  Doors opened and plans fell into place, making it possible for me to spend a weekend with them in February.  

Sean's homeroom class puts on a "Hero's Reception" every year and they invite people they want to recognize.  I felt very honoured to be on Sean's list of heroes and to be invited to attend this event.  

It was such a quick weekend, yet I feel like we packed a lot in - observing at Sean's school, lunch with Barbara & the kids, the heroes reception, eating out on Sunday afternoon, stops at two ice cream shops, and an afternoon run with Sean for old times sake!  It was so great to catch up with such great life-long friends!
