Out of Body Experience
That moment when it feels like your heart is walking away from you, passing through customs, boarding a plane and flying away…
Matt left on Friday for annual ADRA meetings. His long journey is taking him through Bali, Kuala Lumpur, London, Lisbon, and finally to Faro, Portugal where the meetings will be held. He still has about 7 hours to go before he finally arrives. In the meantime, I keep looking at his flight status to see where he is, checking my world clock to see what time it is for him, texting to see how things are going when he should be somewhere with internet, wondering what he’s up to during his many layovers….. it’s gonna be a long 12 days.
It truly feels like an out of body experience to have the one you love so far away!
